How JPEG to FB2 Conversion Works
JPEG is an image format: it uses lossy DCT compression that permanently discards fine pixel detail to achieve small file sizes, ideal for photographs. FB2 is an ebook format that stores data in the FB2 format. This conversion changes the file's encoding, compression method, and supported feature set. Metadata such as creation date is preserved where the target format supports it; features the target format cannot represent are dropped.
