The High Efficiency Image Container format applies H.265 (HEVC) intra-frame compression achieving roughly twice the efficiency of JPEG at equal visual quality, used natively by Apple devices. Converting to CSV produces a spreadsheet file that stores tabular data as plain text with one row per line and field values delimited by commas, readable by any spreadsheet or database tool.
