GIF is a image format: it stores up to 256 indexed colours per frame and supports frame-based animation in a single file. 3GP is a video format that stores data in the 3GP format. This conversion changes the file's encoding, compression method, and supported feature set. Metadata such as creation date and embedded colour profiles is preserved where the target format supports it.
