Portable Network Graphics (PNG) uses lossless DEFLATE compression and supports a full alpha-transparency channel, preserving every pixel exactly as encoded. XLS file (XLS) stores data in the XLS format. This conversion changes the file's encoding, compression method, and supported feature set. Metadata such as creation date and embedded colour profiles is preserved where the target format supports it.
